as Part of the "Cherishing Every Life Project" -

Tokyo, July 13, 2026 – Subaru Corporation continues its support for the Japan Lifesaving Association (JLA; Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takuya Iritani) through the “Cherishing Every Life Project*1,” which aims to achieve “Zero Water Accidents.” In 2026, Subaru will provide a total of 39 vehicles, including the Forester and other models, as “Subaru Lifesaver Cars” to lifesaving associations in 30 prefectures across Japan in collaboration with Subaru dealerships*2.

Subaru Lifesaver Cars are used for community patrols, safety education, and beach patrols, and all vehicles are equipped with compact, lightweight automated external defibrillators (AEDs)*3 to help save lives. Since 2020, Subaru has been providing these vehicles every summer as an official partner of the JLA. Now in its seventh year, the initiative will have provided more than 200 Subaru vehicles in total.
In addition to providing vehicles, Subaru continues to promote safety awareness in local communities by collaborating with dealerships across Japan and regional lifesaving associations, including co-hosting CPR*4 and AED training programs.

As a new initiative this fiscal year, Subaru will donate rescue tubes*5 used in water rescue operations to lifesaving associations across Japan to support rapid rescue efforts in the field and contribute to safety at beaches and waterfront areas.
Furthermore, as part of the support for the "2026 Water Safety Campaign" conducted by the JLA, "Canusla de Umi-Sonae,*6 SUBARU DAY" will be held for the first time on July 20, 2026 (Monday, Marine Day). Hosted jointly by the JLA and Tokyo Subaru, Chiba Subaru, and Kanagawa Subaru, the event offers participants the opportunity to learn the importance of protecting lives from water-related and traffic accidents.

To achieve the goal of “Delivering Happiness to All,” the Subaru Group is promoting sustainability on a Group-wide, global basis under its Subaru Global Sustainability Policy.
Subaru will continue to pursue sustainable growth as a truly global company, while helping to create a more enjoyable and sustainable society.
