FHI Announces Production, Japan Sales and Export Results for August 2013

Led by strong demand for the Forester and Impreza models, domestic production rose year over year for the 8th straight month. Overseas production declined from a year ago for the 4th month in a row, but total global production grew year over year for the 8th consecutive month, posting an all-time August production record.

Driven by strong sales of the Forester and other popular models including the Subaru XV, domestic sales of passenger cars increased from a year ago for the 15th straight month. Mini vehicle sales declined year over year for the fourth month in a row. Total Japan sales rose from the previous year for the 5th consecutive month.
