In comparison to the previous fiscal year, consolidated passenger car sales in Japan are projected to fall by 0.5 thousand units overall in the first half due to a 2.1 thousand unit drop in the Impreza sales before FMC. Sales of minicars will increase by 12.2 thousand units, with the new model effect cancelling out the drop in sales. In total, we are projecting an 11.7 thousand unit increase.

Overseas, U.S. sales are expected to increase with models other than the Forester. We expect a 6.9 thousand unit increase in the U.S. and a 1.1 thousand unit increase in Canada aside from the Legacy. Before the major facelift, the Legacy sales in Europe are expected to fall by 1.6 thousand units for an overall decrease of 0.8 thousand units, and in Australia sales are expected to remain steady for a 0.2 thousand unit increase. In the Middle East, the Impreza sales are expected to decrease as numbers rebound from customers rushing to make purchases before the new restrictions are put in place for a decrease of 1.1 thousand units. Overseas there will be a total increase of 6.2 thousand units, and overall there will be a 17.9 thousand unit increase.
