Consolidated sales of passenger cars in the 4th quarter of the fiscal year ended March 2006 were down 2.8 thousand units with the Legacy, 0.4 thousand units with the Forester and 0.1 thousand units with the Traviq that was ended of sales compared to the previous year . The 0.4 thousand unit increase with the Impreza could not offset the decrease of sales, so there was an overall decrease of 3.0 thousand units. Minicar sales were down by a total of 6.0 thousand units, the R2 by 2.4 thousand, the R1 by 2.0 thousand, the Pleo by 0.8 thousand and the Sambar by 0.7 thousand. In total, unit sales down by 9.0 thousand units.
Overseas, the B9 Tribeca contributed 8.4 thousand units in the United States, the Forester 0.7 thousand, and Impreza sales were up by 0.2 thousand units, but the Legacy saw a decrease of 4.4 thousand units. Overall there was an increase of 5.4 thousand units sold.
In Canada, all models besides the Forester were selling steadily for an increase of 1.0 thousand units. Sales of the Impreza and Forester are steady in Europe after the major facelift, and there was an increase of 1.9 thousand units sold. In Australia, however, there was a 0.5 thousand unit decrease due to inventory adjustments. Thanks to the above, there was an 8.9 thousand unit increase overseas, but the decrease in the number of units sold in Japan cancelled it out for an overall decrease of about 0.1 thousand units.
