In domestic market, while the number of Dex sold increased 4 hundred units, the effect of the full-model change for the Legacy in May did not gain momentum yet, and the number sold remained equal to the same period of previous fiscal year. Moreover, the new car effect of the Forester has gone and the number sold dropped 2.5 thousand units. However, in Russia, this 1st quarter due to inventory adjustments, limited shipments led to a year-on-year 7.8 thousand units drop. In Europe, too, the impact of drastic overall changes and marketing situations that differ by country, overall because of inventory adjustment, limited shipments led to a decrease of 9.1 thousand units. In Australia there had also been a decrease of 4.2 thousand units. In China, the persistent demand continued for the Forester, which increased by 2.8 thousand units, contributing to a showing of a 2.2 thousand units rise. In other regions, there was a 4.4 thousand units decrease. All in all, overseas showed a drop off of 17.9 thousand units.

Together with the decrease in domestic sales, a global sales total was 27.8 thousand units decrease.
