FHI Announces Production, Japan Sales and Export Results for April 2013

Led by strong demand for the Impreza and the all-new Forester, April production in Japan rose year over year for the 4th straight month. Overseas production in April posted the first year-over-year increase in 8 months setting an all-time record for the month of April. Global production grew for the 4th month in a row posting the highest April production record.

With strong sales of the all-new Forester and continued high demand for the Impreza, domestic sales of passenger cars increased from a year ago for the 11th consecutive month setting the best April sales record. Mini car sales rose for the first time in 11 months led by the Pleo and the Stella. Total Japan sales posted the first year-over-year increase in two months.
