Led by strong demand for the all-new Impreza, June production of passenger cars in Japan marked the 9th consecutive month of year-on-year increase, with a record number of domestic production for the month of June. Overseas production kept its momentum, recording the 10th straight month of year-on-year growth. Global production rose over previous year for the 9th month in a row.

Japan production of passenger cars for January-June period resulted in a year-on-year increase for the first time in two years. Overseas production increased year over year for the third straight year. Global production posted a year-on-year increase for the first time in two years. Japan, overseas and total production figures all marked all-time records for Jan-Jun period.
