Due to the limited production amid ongoing difficulties in parts supply following the major earthquake in northeastern Japan, the domestic production for July decreased for the tenth consecutive month year-on-year. The ovearseas production also decreased for the second consecutive month year-on-year.

Due to the inventory shortage caused by the decreased production following the major earthquake in northeastern Japan, the domestic sales of passenger cars for July decreased for the first in four months year-on-year, and total domestic sales also decreased for the tenth consecutive month year-on-year.
