· Due to the limited production amid ongoing difficulties in parts supply following the major earthquake in northeastern Japan, the domestic production for May decreased eighth consecutive month year-on-year. The ovearseas production increased for the first time in two months year-on-year and sets an all-time May record.

· Despite the domestic sales of passenger cars increased for the second consecutive month year-on-year due to the prodution resumption, the total domestic sales in May decreased for the eighth consecutive month year-on-year.
