Subaru Production Situation in Japan beyond March 25
Following Major Earthquake in Northeastern Japan

Tokyo, March 24, 2011 - Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, announced today that it has decided to extend the production suspension at all Subaru automobile plants in Japan* until Monday, March 28, considering the influence of its suppliers in the affected areas as well as conditions of electric power supply. FHI previously announced its production suspension until March 24.

Separately, FHI restarted production of parts for overseas production on Wednesday, March 23 and production of spare parts on Thursday, March 24 respectively, with some parts available for production.
