<March 2010>
The global production for March increased fifth consecutive month year-on-year, due to the strong sales of Legacy and other models. The production of domestic and overseas passenger cars set an all-time March record.

<FY 2010>
Despite decreased production due to a sharp decline of market demand in the first half of FY 2010, the overseas production for the period April 2009 through March 2010 increased year-on-year for the first time in two years, due to the increased production of new Legacy which went on sale worldwide in the second half of FY 2010.

Total domestic sales for March increased for the sixth consecutive month year-on-year, due to the strong sales of Passenger cars such as new Legacy and Exiga.

In spite of the impact by a sharp decline of market demand in the first half of FY 2010, passenger cars sales in Japan increased for the first in six years year-on-year, due to the increased sales of new Legacy launched in May 2009 and Exiga.

Total exports from Japan in March increased for the fifth consecutive month year-on-year, due to increased exports to U.S., Canada and China.

Despite increased exports of Forester and Legacy which went on sale worldwide in the second half of FY 2010, total exports for the period April 2009 through March 2010 decreased year-on-year for the first time in nine years, due to the decreased exports by a sharp decline of market demand in first half of FY 2010.
