Despite increased production of the new Legacy for domestic and overseas market, the global production for September decreased eleventh consecutive month year-on-year, due to reduced production of other models.

Despite of increased production of Forester for North American market and the new Legacy amid diminished overall market demand, the global production for the period April through September 2009 decreased year-on-year for the first time in two years, due to reduced production of other models.
