Consolidated automobile sales in the Japanese market for the 4th quarter of FYE March 2009 were down 16.5 thousand units. Passenger car sales volume declined 7.0 thousand units as all models decreased with the exception of new models such as the Exiga and the Dex. Minicar sales, an overall sales drop of 9.5 thousand units with all models down. In overseas markets, automobile sales were down by 31.2 thousand units due to inventory adjustment with the exception of China where sales were up. Combined with the decrease in domestic sales, overall automobile sales were down 47.6 thousand units.
