The 4th quarter consolidated number of automobile sales increased by 8.9 thousand units, compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. In domestic market, all passenger cars excluding Impreza fell, resulted in a drop of 3.2 thousand units. For minicars in Japan, the new car effect of Stella compensated for decreases in other models; resulting in 3.7 thousand units increase.
There was a total increase of 0.5 thousand units.
Overseas, in U.S. market, repositioning of the MSRP of Legacy and Impreza, a small passenger car model compensated for other models, resulting in a growth of 1.1 thousand units. In Canada, the unit numbers increased except for the B9 Tribeca, resulting in a growth of 0.8 thousand units. In Europe, the units increased except for Forester and Justy, with introduction of the B9 Tribeca, which is particularly contributing to a 2.0 thousand units increase. In Australia, all models except for Forester competed well, a 0.6 thousand units increase. For other regions, China and Singapore were favorable, with an increase of 3.8 thousand units.
The overseas total increased by 8.4 thousand units. The Grand total increased by 8.9 thousand units.
