For net sales by business segments, automotive and aerospace had higher net sales.
For the Aerospace Company, in the defense sector, sales of AH-64D and PX/CX increased. In the commercial sector, Boeing’s orders were favorable, with increased numbers of 777 and 737, etc. Supplying the first trial plane for the 787 Project was finished and this project has been steadily progressing.
A production of the Eclipse 500 main wing had also started.
On the other hand, Industrial Products Company had lower sales, due to lower engine sales to North America, including the reduced sales of Polaris, etc.
Reduced revenues of other businesses are due to Eco Technologies Company’s focusing on a selection and concentration for businesses to raise asset turnover, and a shrinking operation of Yusoki Kogyo K.K.
