The consolidated number of automobile sales in the third quarter saw a decrease of 6.7 thousand units.
Domestically, the number of all passenger car models and the sales number of all minicar models except the Stella was down. Overall, domestic automobile sales decreased by 1.9 thousand units.
In overseas markets, the U.S. market saw sales of all models other than the Impreza dip by 4.6 thousand units. The Canadian sales saw the number of all models fell by 1.8 thousand units, while European sales increased 3 thousand units in all models. In Australia, Impreza and Forester struggled to compete and sales fell by 0.5 thousand units. In other areas, backlash of the demand for Israel in a last minute push prior to the implementation of legislative changes decreased to 1 thousand units. All this led to an overall decrease of 4.8 thousand units in overseas markets.
