Total consolidated sales for the first three months of the fiscal year ending March 2011 was 150.3 thousand units, which was up 50.2 thousand units compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Total sales of domestic market increased 2.6 thousand units. Passenger car increased 0.6 thousand units from the same period of the previous fiscal year due to the efficiency of the eco-car tax reductions and purchase subsidy. Minicar increased 1.9 thousand units.
Overseas units sales increased in all markets as the production and shipment adjustments was implemented in the same period of the last fiscal year. The driving force behind this increase in sales was the new Legacy, which was up 38.1 thousand units, and also Forester, more than two years have passed since its full model change, saw an increase of 8.8 thousand units. Total overseas sales rose�by 47.6 thousand units.
